At an early age,
Guillermo Diaz knew exactly what he
wanted: To be heard! What he could not
predict at that time, in his native
Honduras, is that his dream would come
true, quite a few years later, and far
away from home.
When CBS considered that the time was
right to bring The Bold and The
Beautiful to Hispanic homes dubbed into
Spanish, Diaz had all the attributes to
lend his voice to the main and
conflictive character, CLARK GARRISON
interpreted by the actor Daniel
MacVickard. The Bold and The Beautiful
can be viewed in over 130 countries. And
in Hispanic homes, they turn on their
favorite drama, Belleza y Poder, every
single day, and hear Guillermo Diaz¹s
voice. From Los Angeles to the world.
Diaz believes that the secret of
success is constancy of purpose. That¹s
why at an early age he started taking
the right steps to reach his goal.
³Willy,² as his friends call him, was
only 15 years old when he and a friend
install a clandestine radio station at
home, called Radio Suceso.
His formal studies include electrical
engineering,radio and television
announcer. Also seminars on
communication and human relation.
Bachelor in Liberal arts and science.
Journalism. Diaz has been trained in the
areas of lighting techniques and
handling of color TV cameras. Advance
videotape. Pre and post-production
techniques. Acting has also played an
important role in his life. He was a
member of the Honduras National Academy
of Theatre, and of the Teatro de las 10
(Theatre of the 10). Hobbies? He¹s a
radio ham. And a radio control pilot.
When his busy schedule allows it, loves
to go to the desert with his son, Raoul,
to fly their planes.
³The Voice of America² as he has been
called, started recording commercials
when he was 15 years old. When he came
to the United States in the 80¹s, he
brought with him all the professional
experience he acquired in Tegucigalpa
while working at Honduras Television
Company Channel 5. His professional life
in both New York City and Los Angeles
has been quite active, as a promo
announcer - Spanish dubbing actor at
.360 Spanish dubbing actor at Spanish
Production Group, VDI-All Post, Magnum
Video, to name a few. Also DJ Air
personality and newscaster, at KSKQ and
FM98 Spanish Broadcasting Systems.
The right combination, at the right
time. The quality of his voice
masculine, persuasive- plus his vast
experience, profound knowledge, acting
techniques, his passion, and constancy
of purpose have contributed to make his
dream come true. Guillermo Diaz¹s voice
is heard. And he¹s very happy when they
